Este es un experimento que he hecho para diseño el año pasado, elegí el raso pues es una tela de increíble brillo y bien maleable a la hora de trabajar, lo único en contra que tiene es lo fácil que se deshilacha. Me gusta mucho trabajar con esta tela puesto que es bien apta para combinar con otras, se esta viendo mucho más como opción para ropa diurna y no solo para prendas de noche.

Wanted to show you all this experiment i did for my design class last year, this satin hooded tunic is very flattering to all shapes and can be mix with many other fabrics to change the look. Is more usual nowadays to see this material being used for daytime outfits and not only in night gowns. The only thing not to practical is how easily it frays but besides that is a very noble one.

Hola a todos los que siguen este blog.
Ahora que terminé de cursar voy a postear más seguido y para cumplir esa promesa aquí va una selección de fotos extraídas de la website elle.com sobre 2 colecciónes, primavera verano 2011, de diseñadores de ready to wear: Phillip Lim y Alexander Berardi.
Se preguntarán por qué elegí a estos diseñadores para dedicarles un post. Simplemente porque son talentosos, las prendas tienen cortes simples, telas ricas que conjugan sencillez y sofisticación a la hora de vestir, lo cual es un básico de todas las mujeres al momento de elegir atuendos, no sólo por lo estético sino también por su funcionalidad. ¿Ustedes que opinan? ¿Son de este estilo de diseño o les gusta lo más osado a la hora de explayar su creatividad? Me encantaría conocer sus opiniones.

Hey there! How are you? Now that I finish with my classes, I'll do more updates and to follow I'll show you the reason why I choose these 2 ready to wear clothing designers to dedicate this post: Alexander Berardi & Phillip Lim Spring summer 2011 collections. The photos are from elle.com

You may ask why I pick them, I did it because they are talented, have simple cut clothing, rich fabrics that mix simplicity & sofistication, showing not only pretty designs but also functionality on each outfit, a very good idea for the urban and modern woman. What do you think? Do you like these options, or prefer more edgy clothing? I would love to know your thoughts about it. =D
