Maravillosa librería. Marvelous library!

Esos libros!!! Bellisimos!

El diario británico The Guardian eligió a esta librería como la segunda más linda de todo el mundo. Que orgullo!

Sé que apunto a tener un blog de moda que trate no sólo de mostrar los mejores diseños de los desfiles nacionales e internacionales, sino también de mis propias creaciones. Pero que sería de eso si no tuviera como base a la cultura en general, del arte y la literatura particularmente.

Con esto quiero mostrarles a través de las fotos uno de mis lugares preferidos en toda Buenos Aires: La librería El Ateneo que está ubicada, donde antes estaba el cine y teatro Grand Splendid, en plena Avenida Santa Fé entre Riobamba y Av. Callao.

Cada vez que entro acá me transporto a un mundo donde el tiempo no existe y me obligo a pasar un buen rato explorando los libros, disfrutar de la arquitectura del lugar y me dejo llevar por la música de fondo que me invita a recorrer cada rincón de este maravilloso local. Para finalizar, no hay nada mejor que disfrutar de un buen café en las mesitas que se encuentran ubicadas en donde antes estaba el escenario. Café+libros+la mejor música= LO MEJOR DEL MUNDO a mi parecer.

¿Y ustedes que opinan, cuáles son esos lugares que no pueden evitar visitar y los transporta a un paraíso particular?

I know this is a fashion and design related blog, but to be all that also requires to include the culture in general, I choose my 2 favourites as a must: Art & Literature. Above this text you'll see photographs from one of the greatest libraries in all Buenos Aires, called El Ateneo which is located where it was the magnificent cinema and theatre Grand Splendid, on Santa Fe avenue. between Riobamba and Callao avenue.

Everytime I go here I enter on a dimension where time doesn't exist and make myself explore all the book racks, as well as enjoying the architecture while listening the most amazing background music.

Last but not least you can taste one of the most delicious coffees and desserts in the café located where it used to be the stage. To my point of view, here you'll find the best combo of senses to enjoy: Coffee+books+the best music= The perfect paradise, for those who enjoy a pause in between all the city madness.
